Hi,
Probably the apt words the are: 'Gross Neglect', but there is no point stretching it any further than that.
So, in the last four weeks, I read the following books:
1) Kafka on the Shore - Haruki Murakami
2) The Illegitimate Tree - Sharada Sunder
3) The Bluest Eye - Toni Morrison
4) Lessons in Forgetting - Anita Nair
I am currently reading:
1) Door of Paper - Jayanta Mahapatra
2) Classical Social Theory - Kenneth H. Tucker, Jr.
I wrote a few poems, mailed a few to some journals. I am happy to inform that two of my poems are selected for publication in the February edition of Crack the Spine. Response from two other journals is still pending.
I would be reading more fiction by Indian authors this semester as my humanities elective needs me to do the same. I am considering to attempt writing essays about aesthetics, poetry and art and it is very ambitious for someone like me to do that. I have to see what can be done while staying within the constraints.
I have three new pages on my blog now titled as 0)Home 1)Books Read 2)Poetry 3)About.
Regards,
the Ugly Caterpillar
